Forma Visuals

Chart your data

By default, every number in the chart's data must be one your request states; if one is not, the answer is refused and not billed. Put your values in the request, say what chart you want, and pick the format your tools read.

For anyone whose name goes on the numbers.

Connect your agentUse the APITry it in the console

The playground allows illustrative values: any number your request does not give, Forma writes, and the answer says generated. Over the API and MCP, that request is refused unless it sets allow_generated_data.

01 What you send

A request in plain words.

A chart in the format you picked, the version of the rules it passed, and whether its values were supplied or generated.

intent

The chart you want, with your values in it: pasted as a table, a list, or numbers in a sentence.

format

The format to return.

allow_generated_data

Off by default: a chart whose data holds a number your request does not give is refused. On: values your request does not give are written by Forma, and the answer says data "generated".

03 Limits

What a verdict does not tell you.

  • Numbers the chart computes from yours, such as totals, averages or a calculated field, are not compared, and neither are row numbers that only count the rows.
  • Labels and dates are not compared with your request, and the check does not confirm that every row is drawn or sits in the right place. Read the chart before you publish it.
  • With generated data allowed, a vague request such as “Make me a chart about how things are going.” comes back valid, with values Forma wrote, and the answer says so.
  • The check covers form, not intent: a valid chart of the wrong column is still valid.

04 Questions

Before you start.

One credit, $0.01, per answer. A valid and an invalid verdict each cost a credit; a failure on our side never does. Pricing

Can I paste a spreadsheet?

Paste the values into your request as text, up to 4,000 characters: columns and rows, or a list. By default, every number in the chart's data must be one you pasted.

Does Forma check that each value is in the right place?

No. It checks that every number in the chart's data is one your request states. It does not compare numbers the chart computes, labels or dates, or confirm that every row is drawn in the right place, so read the chart before you publish it.

Will Forma fetch data from a URL or a database?

No. Forma does not fetch data. Put the values in the request.

Can I chart stock prices?

Prices you supply, yes: candlestick and OHLC charts of the open, high, low and close you send. Forma has no market data and gives no advice.
