Forma Visuals · Draw a geometry figure · For educators

Describe the construction. The figure's stated properties are checked.

Tomorrow's worksheet needs six figures. Say what is built from what (midpoints, perpendicular bisectors, an inscribed circle) and the properties the figure states are checked before you see it. Coordinates are worked out for you.

01 Real answers

Geometry diagrams: medians, circumcircle and incircle constructions.

Triangle ABC with its three medians meeting at the centroid GEach median runs from a vertex to the midpoint of the opposite side: A to M_A, B to M_B, C to M_C. All three pass through G.ABCMAMBMCG

02 How it fits

Into the work you already do.

Into a worksheet

Open the source in the free TikZ editor and download SVG or PNG, or paste the TikZ into your own document.

One construction per request

Ask for each figure on its own, then put them together on the worksheet; each comes back as its own source.

03 What you still check

What a verdict does not tell you.

  • Measurements you write are not compared with the drawing, and a point can be moved so a stated property holds: read the source.
  • Asked for A at (0,0), B at (4,0) and C at (2,1), checked collinear, Forma returned a valid figure with C moved onto AB.

04 Questions

Before you start.

Can I label the points?

Name them in the request, such as triangle ABC with centroid G, then read the figure to check each label sits where you want it.

Can I give side lengths and angles?

You can write them, but they are not compared with the drawing. Describe the construction instead, and the properties the figure states are checked.
