About

We build the part that decides.

Models are good enough that people ship what they write. What is missing is the step between "a model wrote it" and "we can rely on it": a check that is not the generator, that says no when it should, and that can be named later. Forma is a neuro-symbolic AI company: neural models make sense of what you ask, and symbolic rules decide what is accepted.

01 Principles

How we make decisions.

01

A refusal is a real answer

If the rules will not accept it, you are told, and told why. We would rather return nothing than something plausible and wrong.

02

The check is not the generator

The rules that accept an answer are separate from whatever wrote the answer, and versioned on their own. Whatever writes the answers can change; the citation still means the same thing.

03

A verdict, not a score

A confidence number lets every caller pick a threshold, and then "verified" means something different in every integration. A verdict is one commitment, made the same way for everyone.

04

Say what it does not do

The check covers form, not intent. We publish the ways a valid answer can still be wrong for you, because a customer who finds them alone stops believing the rest.

05

Volume, never access

Every plan can call every oracle. An agent that cannot rely on a tool being there stops reaching for it.

06

An outage you can see

Our failures are refunded and still recorded in your usage log. An outage you cannot see afterwards is one you cannot hold us to.
